Founder, Debbie Rees, set up Tabitha Eve in response to her own personal war against wastefulness and plastic pollution. Making and creating products to replace her disposable kitchenware evolved into a studio based business creating plastic-free alternative products. Debbie believes in being kinder to the planet on which we live, and her products, ethos and commitment very much reflect this.
Why we chose Tabitha Eve reusable make up pads …
Making the switch to these eco-friendly cleansing pads is both gentle on your skin and the planet. These made to order and cut by hand clever little pads, made of organic cotton and bamboo, are ideal for removing make up or applying toner. Though there are some wipes now made of compostable materials (which is undeniably a step in the right direction for big brand manufacturers) reusing these soft circles means there is no accidental giving in to temptation to flush wipes down the loo. Pamper yourself and reduce your landfill footprint – what’s not to love?
Tabitha Eve’s conscious approach and endeavor threads through each part of the business; from sourcing fabrics to recycling and reusing as much of their studio waste as possible with a lot of our scraps going to local schools, playgroups, and a company that makes worry monsters. We love their thought provoking encouragement to reduce your landfill waste and replace single use items with reusable products. – “If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping in a room with a mosquito” (#bethemosquito).
